Default From OSX to Linux. - 02-27-2012, 04:06 PM

What would the best process be? Should I bring it back to WinXP then go to Linux? Can I go from OSX straight to Linux? If so, can someone point me to a thread where someone did it?

Sorry, I dont frequent this forum much. If its been done already, please dont just post "search".

Try this link Download | Ubuntu .

It gives you the options & how to for installing Ubuntu. There are several good versions of Linux but this on is a good one to start & grow with.

Any OS installer can delete all preexisting OSs. So, you don't need to go OSX to XP to Linux.

The main difficulties in the order of installing OSs are: license (if you only have an upgrade license, etc) and multi-boot. Linux has zero licensing difficulties for a home user (the license only comes into play for distributors). And if you're only planning on a single OS, multiboot ain't an issue.
