Default A good VGA Display for Dell mini 9 - 08-22-2011, 10:53 AM

i bought dell mini 9 and i am very satisfied with it running Lubuntu 11.04. Unfortunatelly i have one acer 22" Led display that have much better and clearer picture with DVI (Macbook Pro) as with VGA on dell mini 9. So, i wonder if there is some really good VGA Display that you can recommend to me (minimum conf. 19" and 1280x1024).
I saw some Dell second hand displays here, but hane no idea how good they are. I need it mostly for Web Brosing and OpenOffice Working:

Or any other advice....?

Are you running native resolution on your Acer screen? If not, crazy blurring is normal. If you are running native resolution via VGA, it should just be a little blurry.

Really old displays can be very blurry at native res over VGA until tweaked, but new ones should auto-tweak. And if your screen is LED-backlit, it's not really old.

But even when VGA is configured perfectly, DVI should always be superior, especially on displays with high native resolutions (like 1080p). HDMI should also be superior, but I've run into plenty of devices that treat HDMI signals poorly.

Finally, have you tried a different computer on that screen via VGA? It might give you an idea of what quality to expect.

That is the problem-i have Macbook Pro -DVI picture is perfect. And i use native Acer 1920x1080 resolution-it is really awsome.
VGA via dell mini 9 is not bad at all but i would like to have crystal clear picture, even with lower res. screeen.
Dell mini 10 with hdmi (it is only 1010?) has no RAM upgrade and has issues with GMA 500 and Linux, that is why i try to find some another solution to make everything working with mini 9....
