White is also a bit colder than the compaqs screen.

my conclusion: the dells display is a bit colder than the other one, not only for black and white, but also for all the other colors.

For me this is no problem, as my eyes get quickly used to each of the screens. When i am on the mini for a long time and switch to the Compaq i realise that its warmer and for few seconds white looks like pink, but after few seconds white is white again. Back to the dell white is lite Blue/green for some seconds.
That's good if your LCD has cold color temp for every color, but mine has warmer white color whereas the other colors temp seem cold (mine has 1024x600 resolution).

Maybe we can't expect too much from a cheap netbook (I believe that cheap netbooks come with cheap LCD displays), but my friend's acer netbook that is cheaper than mine has better LCD.

Btw I've come to the dell store and they show me the other mini 1011s, and what surprising me is they have identical LCD display as mine (just very little differences), but mini 1012's LCD has better color (more natural) than 1011's.
Now I'm thinking that mini 1011s that are sold in my country (Indonesia) have different LCD quality than the other countries (FYI: it's manufactured in Malaysia).

I still need other folks to report their mini's LCD color quality in this thread.

Edit:
Dell mini 10v LCDs are manufactured by LG-Philips, right?
When I was checking mine I was surprised that my LCD is manufactured by Samsung, I checked under Windows: Control Panel>device manager>monitors>Generic PnP monitor>Properties>Details tab>(Property set to Hardware ID's), it showed SEC5441 (I'm definitely sure it is Samsung ID for their LCD), if it is LG-Philips it should show LPL0000.
And when I checked it under Snow Leopard: system preferences>Dysplays>Color tab>(selected default color profile)>open profile>(went to last line: Apple display make and model info and clicked it), the manufacturer showed: 00004CA3, the model showed: 00005441.
That's enough proof that my mini LCD is manufactured by Samsung instead of LG-Philips.
FYI: It was a brand new (not a refurbished one) I bought from dell store, and the box was sealed.

For all folks who read my post, I need your report of your mini 10v LCD manufacturer to make me sure whether I should replace my mini LCD with LG-Philips manufactured or not.

What LCD manufacturer does your M11x have?
Is it AU optronics or Samsung?
I've read about M11x both R1 and R2 on forum.notebookreviem.com, some folks complaining about their LCD quality (the vertical viewing angle and the colors), do you have that problems?

Back to topic, does no one care about it?

Come on guys, it doesn't hurt to post your LCD manufacturer in this thread, and it only takes a couple of minutes to check it btw.

I don't know how to check that in OS X for my 10v.
My M11x is an AUO105C, which after a quick search seems to be the better one over the Samsung.

Take a look at post #12, you can check it by open the default color profile.
AU Optronics is better than Samsung in color quality and viewing angle, lucky you.
