Very elementary question : How do I perform a cursor forward or back on the dell streak keyboard (or swipe keyboard)?

I see where the keyboard has a 'backspace' key that deletes a character or whole word (if i hold the key down long), but if i want to just move the cursor forward or back without deleting a character, how do I do that?

I will feel like a "nerf' if its so simple I can see it?

There is a lot of help available with the Swype keyboard. hold down the 'swype' key and a popup menu will appear. There is even a tutorial for it.

To answer your question specifically, if you swipe your finger from the swype key to the sym key you will see an edit keyboard with arrow keys and options for selecting text, cut copy and paste.

anybody knw how to use "enter" in sms?

i can use "enter" on web and other things..
but in typing / replying sms messages , i cant see "ENTER" on swipe or any other keyboard..

Theres a Send button to the right of the sms text input box. And not a need to hit an enter key on the keypad

It's a feature not a bug.

That's just the way Android works. If you want to be able to enter newlines in SMS you need to use a replacement text app. I believe that Handcent will work or GO SMS.
