Nice find! Very cool![/quote:vkbi1zei]

Well, I made my first long distance trip with my bag and I have to say it worked pretty well. There are two straps on the back, that when I cross them will hold it on my rolling luggage handle very nicely. I don't have to worry about it slipping off or falling off to one side or another. The ability to open the bag quickly made getting the Mini 9 out for security and putting it back in after a breeze. With the ability to shrink or expand the bag as needed, I was able to carry my Mini 9, all my electronic accessories(Mini 9 charger, cell phone, cell phone charger, headphones, network cable, USB thumb drives), a 9"x12" leather portfolio, boarding passes, receipts, bottle of water and a sandwich with me on the plane and not worry about the bag fitting under the seat or in the overhead rack. If you've flown on a smaller commuter aircraft, you know exactly what I mean by this. The optional shoulder strap works great too, turning the bag into a messenger bag quickly.

But I have to admit, that there was one short-coming I need to address and that's a lack of a handle. If I didn't want to throw it over my shoulder like a messenger bag, I had to bundle the excess strap in my handle to carry it like a briefcase. It's something I'll have to look into, but overall it was a really good bag on my trip.

My bag has a loop, but it isn't positioned properly for a carrying handle and is too small.
What I am looking to get is a large carabiner to act as a handle, since it DOES have a loop where it would work well.

Maybe if your bag has a loop in the right place a large carabiner would work as a handle for you?

I've just received a 7.0" Wide Laptop Case Zeroshock III ZSB-IB020BK for my Mini. Bought it on Ebay from Tenikiti shop in Japan. It's what you might call a wee bit "snug", and has to stretch slightly to accommodate the Mini's 35mm height. The outer pocket is then too tight to be of any use for anything thicker than a credit card. Elecom (manufacturer) advertise the external dimensions as 265 x 25 x 200 and the internal as 255 x 40 x 190mm. Odd! Maybe it is expected to be able to stretch to 40mm? Anyway it suits me and my Mini just fine.

charlie_y You should check out this sleeve from DealExtreme: http://dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.14339
It fits the Mini 9 perfectly. You can even squeeze the AC Adapter inside the sleeve. They also carry the sleeve in Orange or Green if that's your thing.

WOW!

I was at walmart tonight to look at the portable dvd player bags that people have recommended, and I found the PERFECT bag for me.

I like em simple, with a pocket for mouse and power cord, and nothing more. And did I mention I'm so cheap my wallet squeaks when I open it?

I can't find it on case logic's website, but it is model WPDS9.

Walmart's rollback price?? $3.87

Wow, that's a nice case! I haven't seen that one before. The one I settled on (for now) I found at BestBuy for $20, from a brand called Init. Their other DVD player cases/sleeves are on their website, and on BestBuy's website. The one I got has less than an inch extra either side, but otherwise it fits nicely...plus there is a velcro strap that secures across the laptop to keep it from moving around inside. Deep outside pockets both sides, carrying handle (not bulky type) and detachable carrying strap.

The DVD player cases are extremely well suited for our Minis!

I bought this one last year for everyday use however, when I got my new mini 9. It fits in it perfectly. Couldn't be happier.
