Default M11x i5 & i7 options plus Nvidia Optimus - 06-10-2010, 03:36 PM

Wow, I'm surprised there isn't more talk about this.
I'm ready to order an i5 model with the 4GB RAM and 250GB 7.2K HD upgrades.
Only thing I'm tossing around is getting a 2 year warranty, available over the phone, and paying $50 for the Dell buyback within 2 years and getting 40% of it back towards the one then.
With ship dates almost a month out, it'll be here for my birthday present!

That would be awesome! This would replace me entire fleet of netbooks if so......

Really considering about replacing the 2010 MBP I just got 2 months ago for one of these. The MBP is nice, but C2D is showing it's age, especially the more I use it. The i7 in this would be excellent for me, especially the Hyperthreading and Turbo Boost.

Now, to see what kind of battery life this thing gets...

Sold my Mini 9 for a larger netbook, one that's easier on my wrists and hands.
Current Machine: 2010 MacBook Pro 13", 2.4 GHz C2D, 4GB RAM, Win7 Pro x64/OS X 10.6.3

And I play with my girlfriend's Mini 10v ^_^.

Interested in using MATLAB on the Mini 10v? Check out my benchmarks!

I ordered one, ETA 7/8 - 7/10
Didn't go too wild, i5 with 4 gigs of RAM and 250GB HD, which I only did to get 7200RPMs.
Battery life really doesn't concern me, unless there's a power outage the majority of the time will be plugged in.

Dell has a good deal on the new i M11x with a i7, 4 gigs of ram and 320gb hard drive. I cancelled my initial order and reordered and came to about $40 more for the i7.

Once this thing is hackintoshable - I'll be all over getting one! Might try to get one sooner - we shall see. For day to day web browsing and such - I just LOVE OS X.
