I was hoping to see it somewhere under the keyboard, but obviously - I was wrong.

Its probably located on the other side of the motherboard, meaning "hard to get to"

Im curious too see if it has a soldered port or if they only solder it when you order with the mobile broadband option.

What you are looking for is MiniPCIe slots. There are up to three of them. One will have the WiFi card. Another may have a Bluetooth card.

Well, yes and no.

I wanted to see if it came with prepared wwan-port - with antenna-cables, smartcard-holder etc.

The mini9 has two models - with or without.

So obviously nothing as simple as a SIM card slot somewhere?

No, the mini9 without wwan option still has a sim-card opening behind the battery - but there is nothing accepting the sim-card behind the opening.

Attached images of the mini9 without and with a wwan slot.

Couldn't agree more. One thing I love about the Mini is its form factor. This one is more than a bit lacking in that area.

Hey congrats on the purchase! I too bought a Mini 10 for about a week now and liking most of the features so far.

Just wanted to ask about the temperature, since its fanless, what CPU temp does your mini idle on? I never had a 10v so I cant compare. Also I'm from Australia so its summer here, taking into account of ambient temp, mine idles at 46-50 degrees on a 26 degree day.

Also if the keyboard hard to pram open, just the 3 screws at top? Also thinking of upgrading the RAM.

Cheers

I just got a 1012 for school and I'm very happy with it. I would like to upgrade the ram, but I can't get the stupid screws on the back off. Is there a stupid trick that I don't know or do I just have to try harder?
