Default Italian Windows XP - 08-07-2014, 01:14 PM

Hi everyone.
I'll try to keep this short... Okay, so I bought a netbook on ebay (new) from this Italian guy. It's a dell inspiron mini 1012. Anyways, everything's working fine but it has windows xp installed. The main problem is that it's in Italian language and I can't change it. I read that you can't change the language and need to buy a new windows. Is that true? So what should I do? If I need to buy a new windows, I can't buy xp anymore right? So how do I download win7 and how do I install it? I'm probably asking for too much, but if someone could guide me through downloading and installing win7 I would appreciate it. Please help me, I look forward to your answers!

If you have already tried the Googled options, then you need a clean install. There are not many copies left that have a valid product id (not sure I can find mine anymore, had Win 2000 too). If you must have Windows then I suggest Win 7, download an iso & install. You will need a copy of Win 7 & still might have to call MS to validate it.

If you don't need Windows, I like linux, Ubuntu, Mint or Linux Lite.
