Unhappy Stopped booting with no Access to BIOS. - 09-09-2011, 03:18 PM

Hi All,

I have had my Dell Mini 10v (1011) since 1st Septemeber 2009, however today it suddenly stopped booting; it no longer shows the BIOS Screen at all, doesn't even flicker, I do not get any error beeps and I haven't touch the innards. So to insure that it wasn't the bios being funky I decided to remove the CMOS battery for a minute and then reattached however nothing still happened. I am at a bit of a loss here as I am just about to be going back to my final year of university and with no laptop. =[

It seems that it is either:
1. The Screen has packed in and is no longer working
2. Bios has somehow died
3. Random Chip Failure of some sort

Any ideas would be really grateful.

you say no BIOS shows up have you tried to hit f2 or f12 or whatever it is? or try f8 for a windows safe boot?
