![]() 0.8.4 RC1 is using a new sleep kext (the old one doesn't work on 10.6.3), I'll try to make it better.

![]() I'm still having an issue with the first reboot after running NBI. It started with 0.8.4pre. This thread was started earlier by thejames as he had the same issue. It can't seem to find the right partition to boot from. I can get in via safe mode and re-run NBI again. When I do that it boots correctly but now I have no sound. Any ideas?

![]() When NBI is run in safe mode, kextd refuses to add some kexts (such as audio) to the /Extra/Extensions.mkext file. Thats why you don't have sound.
I don't know why you machine can't find the root partition. A number of people have reported it, but I have yet to see it on my machine yet. ![]() Sound should be better, although there may be an issue or two.
The bootloader has an issue every once and a while with loading some kexts, and I've noticed (once) that the AppleHDA kext failed to load. I'll try to track down the issue and patch the latest chameleon release too. ![]() Hi,
thanks for the great job! Just a thing: after installing NBI 0.8.4 I downloaded and installed VoodooPowerMini, which causes some issues booting OsX (I installed it putting it into the /Extra/Mini10vExt, and then doing UpdateExtra). Anyway, OsX is unable to boot (looking at the verbose mode, it's clearly just a VoodooPowerMini issue), so I started in recovery mode, and uninstalled it. Do you know why this happens? P.s. Do you have any plan on updating Chameleon on future versions of NBI? Thanks! |

![]() just created a snow leopard boot drive with this release.
installing as i type... I'll let you know how it goes. This is on a DM9, On-board lan disabled, usb wake disabled, bluetooth disabled. webcam, 16gb stec, BCM 4312 reprogrammed to Airport Extreme This is actually my first time using the single usb install method.... I've always done a 2 step install before... so far, i'm impressed with how simple this has gotten since the 10.5.6 days with dellefi BIOS A06 | 10.6.8 |
