Well, if the problem is the STEC SSD, if i change it to a Runcore SSD, will the sleep work? Anyone has any experience? EDIT: btw, there is another thread about this here: http://www.mydellmini.com/forum/dell...p-anymore.html Seems like no one else on that thread is working on 10.6.7 though. - Mini 9 | OSX 10.6.7 | AO5 | 1GB RAM | 16GB STEC SSD | NBI...51 |

![]() That's a really old thread, I thought the newer NBI fixed this problem.
I had a mini 9 with a 16 gig STEC I set up and sold to a co-worker a week ago and it sleeps fine. It's running 10.6.7 as well. I did the initial install with OS X 10.6.0 using NBM/NBI 0.8.4 RC 1 and then installed the 20100616212351 version and updated to 10.6.7 with no issues. I did disable the Bluetooth in the BIOS as it doesn't work properly on these mini's even after the hack, and he didn't really have a need for it. The 10v's usually come with a standard hard drive, so they can actually be made to Hibernate as well as Sleep, but sleep is as good as we can hope for on the mini 9. Sleep has never been an issue on either my Runcore or my SuperTalent SSD's. 10V | OS X 10.6.7 | NBI 20100616212351 |BIOS 06|160 GB|1 GIG RAM| 6 Cell Dell Battery Functioning Hibernation Back up Mini 9| OS X 10.6.7| NBI 20100616212351| BIOS 05 | 32 GB SuperTalent | 2 GIGS RAM |

![]() Thanks for the reply. Man, I just can't figure out whats wrong.
I installed from 10.6.3 retail disk with NBI0.8.4RC1, then upgraded to NBI...51 and 10.6.7. Maybe I'm doing something wrong. I've tried disabling the bluetooth in BIOS and USB Legacy Support. Is there anything else that I can do? |

![]() Sleep fixed!
Upon startup I get this message "Hibernation file is too old by xxxxxx seconds. Use ForceWake=y to override". Perhaps the hibernation was not properly disabled? All it needed was for hibernation to be turned off and hibernation file to be deleted. As found here: http://www.mydellmini.com/forum/gene...-override.html Terminal commands: sudo rm /var/vm/sleepimage sudo pmset hibernatemode 0 That fixed the sleep as well. Bluetooth and USB Legacy support is turned off in BIOS. Also, I just tried external monitor and it didn't work. I'll look more into the forums for a fix or start another thread. Thank you guys for your help! You are all awesome! ![]() |

![]() External monitor is hit or miss.
I just decided not to mess with it anymore, myself. You might see if you can glean anything from this post- http://www.mydellmini.com/forum/dell...-10-6-4-a.html 10V | OS X 10.6.7 | NBI 20100616212351 |BIOS 06|160 GB|1 GIG RAM| 6 Cell Dell Battery Functioning Hibernation Back up Mini 9| OS X 10.6.7| NBI 20100616212351| BIOS 05 | 32 GB SuperTalent | 2 GIGS RAM |
