Default Marlin Blue now available - 01-10-2011, 09:09 PM

It appears that the Inspiron Duo is now available to order in Marlin Blue for customers in the U.S., with a preliminary ship date of January 31. As far as I can tell, all of the other options are the same as the original black model.

Hopefully this is a sign that additional options are soon to come!

ETA: The starting price is the same ($549) for both blue and black.

Good to see they are adding something at least. Thus far the service tag still shows as unknown when you go to parts and upgrades. I was going to see about maybe ordering the dock, but it appears you cannot after the fact. So maybe this is a sign that things will start becoming available?

Interesting, I didn't realize you couldn't order the audio station separately. I'm really torn about whether or not to order it. I think I'd prefer to wait and try to pick it up later - especially if it makes its way back to the Microsoft store at half price!

OK, I stand corrected. If you put in the service tag and try to show accessories available, Dell does not yet recognize the Duo's service tag as valid. BUT, if you do a search for Duo Audio dock it finds it and lets you order it.

Thanks! Strange that it still doesn't show up when I search, but clicking on your link works.

Sadly, it's no longer on sale. :-(
