I would suggest you to do a clean reinstallation (after deleting the partitions) of Windows on the system to resolve the issue. Also, share the following information with me so I can help you better. 1. What is the Windows Operating System installed on your system? 2. Are you using the Dell OEM DVD or any other DVD to install the windows. You can choose the operating system on the link below and follow the steps to do a clean reinstallation. Make sure you delete the paritions and install the Windows on the unallocated space. Windows 7 Manual Reinstall | Dell In Windows 7 you can delete the partitions by clicking on the Drive options tab, before the installation starts. Hope this helps.
