why do you want to?, it dosnt require that much space, its kinda like trying to remove IE, it can be done but needs to be done very carefully due to the fact that some of the .dlls are shared across the system

BTW: I am guessing that you have tried going into 'start' ======> 'control panel' ====> 'add/remove programs' and doing it from there right?.......

on Win 7 its 'start' ======> 'control panel' ======> 'programs and features'

have you cleaned out the temporary internet files, deleted old email, deleted any Dell bloatware you dont want?..also its pretty much a known fact that windows does continue to grow after some time and some prefer to do a fresh complete re-install every now and then, thats another option open here

temporary internet files, yes.
deleted old email, yes.
deleted any Dell bloatware? what is this?
and re-install seems a bit much as i dont have an external cd-drive.
what about the all the updates surely the older ones are not needed?

bloatware is what Dell ships their systems with, 'Dell Service Center', Dell..etc...half the stuff that you probably dont use anyway, go through add/remove programs and see whats there and get rid of what you can, and you dont need an external DVD/CD drive to re-install, there are utilities that allow you to re-install using a USB flashdrive...just search for them

The Mini 9 does not ship with "bloatware". I don't recommend a reinstall unless you really want to. Dell provides a Restore CD which is bootable, or you can use the utility Rich pointed you to to copy it to a USB flash drive.
