I had two sticks of 2GB Corsair DDR2...one rated at 667 MHz and one at 800 MHz. Having an afternoon with not much to do, I did testing between these two. I found the 667 MHz performed about 5% faster, Might be because of CAS latency settings on the 800 MHz when it's "downshifted" to 667? I have no idea, but I'm sticking with 667 MHz, which matches up to the exact specs of the N450. Hey, 5% matters on these things...

Hey all, gearing up to have this done to my mini, planning on giving it to my mother as a gift, will this memory work? It will right?

Newegg.com - Rendition by Crucial 2GB 200-Pin DDR2 SO-DIMM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Laptop Memory Model RM25664AC800

I LOVE my upgraded screen and all, but I think I am going to get a 15.6" lappy next and Mom needs something small, and I figure this will fit the bill. Will miss it but I am sure I will easily get used to the bigger lappy. Looking at the 15R if you're curious.

Just an update, it's running great! I am very pleased with the new memory. If you're on the fence about this definitely take the plunge, it's well worth it. I have this forum to thank for so much. Great people here with good solid advice. Thanks folks!

Hi all, I'm a little late to the game. I recently purchased and installed PNY 2GB PC6400-800mhz ram on my Mini 1012. The install was fine and easy, however I noticed that my web browsers are very unstable since the install. Firefox, chrome and IE all have problems sustaining pages, and they all just crash and close.

Am I missing something here? I was under the impression that this was a simple plug and play. Please throw any suggestions my way.

Thanks!

I think I figured out the problem.

The ram was DOA. I tested it on two different mini1012's and they both caused problems. One machine wouldn't even boot up.

I installed a new PNY 2GB PC6400-800mhz and everything seems to be working fine. I will be switching the faulty stick with a new one from Newegg.
