Yeah. I know I will have to do some simple USB wire splicing to make it work. But I don't expect to do any soldering of components; just the wiring only.

there are 2 ways to create a easy connector:

1= soldering the cables together.
2= reconnecting the cables to each other usign a new plug. (1$ on ebay {for 10-?? pieces})

option 2= using the normal usb cable.
(this is not reccomanded.)

as for touch this could not work on android, due driver issues, (you need to know linux programming/java coding to write a app that allows usb-touchs screen)

if you have 4x4 cm space left, you can add a fan to it, (power it trough usb) this way you have extra cooling to prevent overheating

Thats the plan. USB 2.0 wiring is very standard, so I will just match the wire colors.

I realize that is a possibility. That's the reason I don't want to solder anything to the motherboard permanently. However, I will be running Remix Beta (based on Lollipop as part of the Android x86 project), which has some support for many touchscreen drivers. So there's a good chance it will work. But if it doesn't, then I can always remove it and use the extra mini PCI-E for something else.

I was thinking about doing that with a 5v mini fan wired into the extra unused USB header on the dual USB mini PCI-E card. But I don't know where I would vent the fan out. The chassis doesn't appear to have a good location for that.

you can also use a 12V fan those work fine on 5V.
5V fans could not work consitantly on a usb plug due usb giving 4,8-5,2 V

with a 12V you have less noticable decrease in airflow
