Default Chrome OS issues? - 07-03-2012, 12:14 AM

Hi all,

I'm trying to use the latest build of Chrome OS Lime on the Mini 1010. The following also occurred on the 4-15 build of Dell Chromium, so it doesn't appear to be version specific.

Unfortunately, I'm getting this error:

[2.671835] Kernel panic - not syncing: stack-protector: Kernel stack is corrupted in: 8164025d

I Googled a fix, which said to remove the HDD. That didn't work.

EDIT: Stack trace available on request.

EDIT2: Tried the Chrome forum, got no response. Tried here, got no response either...

Any assistance/suggestions?

Redid it using the Dell Chromium build and setting default root to /dev/sda3.

Everything is working flawlessly on my Mini 1010 except for the screen resolution. Any way to get it to set to 1024x600 on boot? It defaults to 800x600 and I can't get it to change.

Default Chrome on mini 1010 - 12-05-2012, 09:34 PM

hey man, I was wondering how you got the kernal panic thing fixed? I'm having a hard time finding any info on it, maybe because the official builds are for the mini 10v. Anyway hope to hear back, I know this is an older thread.

I've tried to boot with chrome os-chromium os my dell mini 1010 (bios a11 full updated by dell) but always there is some error-kernel panic.
I used the version the vanilla and the lime ...
I tried with the dell version too but nothing changed...
Any idea how to solve this problem?
I don't want to run linux and then use the chromium broswer. have no sence.
even if chromium is based on linux i don't want to see linux!
