Default Internal Bluetooth for Mini 9 - 05-14-2009, 12:28 AM

If you do a search for "Bluetooth Module" on Dell's website you get a whole list of laptop bluetooth modules for around $20. Will any of these work on the Mini 9?

I have seen the post for the ones on eBay and for those who struggled with Dell support to buy one. Has anyone tried any of these in the parts section?

Thanks!

I'm curious about this as well. I didn't buy the bluetooth option when I got my mini and now I'm regretting it. I'd like to see if I cna just get a part number from Dell and order it or perhaps find it on EBay.

You have to call Dell for it, for some reason it's never been available online.

The part number is J613H, and it includes the cable. $20 last I heard.

When I bought it back in April is was $20. Doubt the price changed that much. I bought that and the US-INTL keyboard at the same time, ordered via chat.

What are you guys using bluetooth for? I bought a mini at the outlet and could have added bluetooth for $10 more but couldn't think of a reason to add it. The only think that seemed beneficial was tethering, but my iphone (non jailbroken) doesn't support it so I skipped out on bluetooth. I thought if I really need it one day, I can always buy one of those $20 bluetooth usb mini receivers.

May I suggest a $4 mini receiver instead?
