Damn, that pocket on top of the flap is a great idea. Wish I'd thought of that!

Here be my custom sleeve. It's just like jrm's but without the PALS system. I'm happy with it. It holds the computer snug and it looks damn sharp. I agree with jrm, the elastic cover opening is enough to keep the computer in place. I only wish that the sleeves were lined with a more force absorbent material like neoprene, but I knew these were fleece lined and I'm happy with.

with a nice view of the guest house I'm crashing in

A happy Vostro

Interesting... how did you get it to fit in there sideways like that in the last photo ?!?

Those are great pictures, do you mind if I use them on the web site?

Since I've made yours and I now have two officially happy customers with them, one more on the books and many requests as well - I'll be making this my official second product! And it's going to carry the model name "JRM Sleeve" for the Mini 9 and Vostro A90.

Good feedback on the elastic, I appreciate it! JRM said the same thing actually. It just feels insecure to me, but maybe that's my Army training and the desire to excessively secure things! I'll offer the "overstrap" as an option to purchasers.

Sure, feel free to use them. In the last photo I just put the computer in sideways so 1/3 or so is sticking out.

I really like the looks of that. I'll be adding it to the social group here for psyoppers products as well when I get a sec.

psyopper, when I get the 10v, I want to work with you on something like that for the 10v. If you're getting one as well, I can wait though.

It is! And it's next up on the cutting board.

Sorry about the delay but my full time job has been full of drama this week - we had one person quit (leaving us three people to manage 18 hour a day/ 7 days coverage), and then my boss came down with the flu which killed my two days off this week.

First, an apology! I promised to post up pics and a review back when psyopper and I were working on the design for this bag and I failed to follow thru. Chalk it up to old age and turbulent work/family life. Sorry, psyopper!

Either way, here are some pics of the excellent sleeve that psyopper built for me:

Here's the empty sleeve. It's done in ACU Digital Camouflage cordura, with foliage green piping, velcro and webbing. psyopper put a top handle so I could quickly/easily grab it from my carry bag or from behind/under a seat. He also hooked me up with a loop panel on the front for patches.

Here's the sleeve with the main flap open, revealing an inner accessory pouch.

Inner pouch open, it's a nice sized additional compartment, and psyopper managed to make it look "right" and extremely secure whether the inner pouch was empty or full (pictured empty here, full at the bottom).

My DM9 getting ready to snuggle into the fleece lining.

Just enough space for my AC adapter, external drive and USB cord. When I don't have the external drive onboard, I typically stash a mouse in the pouch.

All loaded up and ready to rock and roll. Nice work, psyopper!

The man does great work and was a pleasure to do business with. I like that the product was created in the US by an actual person that I can speak with to work thru details. The bag came out exactly as I'd hoped, and gives my Mini9 some protection and most importantly - makes it a grab-and-go device. Excellent product, put together by a good guy.

Mark, that's an incredible photo-spead there sir. What a great looking sleeve and Mini to boot!

I know where I'm buying my Mini case: Home grown in the USA! Well done, Psyopper! Now all I need to know is which case I'll be getting ... the 9 or 10v!

That's an easy decision... I only make Mini 9 cases!

I'm looking at getting a 10v once they get out in the wild and we confirm if they will or will not be hackintoshable. I'll be ordering a base model plus a 6 cell battery so I can make sleeves for both.
