Can someone tell me if the battery in duo has to be soldered in or does it just
plug-in. I see on Ebay they have a plug-in but I thought I read somewhere
that they had to be soldered in.
The battery in my Duo went south, only a year and half old.

Hi Charlie,

The battery in Inspiron Duo is not soldered. However, replacing the battery in the duo is not as easy compared to other laptops. It is a field replaceable unit. Please check the manual on the link below for help in replacing the battery.
