I'm just looking for a cheap battery as a backup to my 6-cell. Does anyone know if the one below is ok for a 1012 ?.

Well if the 10v and the 1012 use the same accessories then yes. But I wouldn't suggest you buy that. It is a 3-cell battery and you have a 6-cell that came with your computer. You won't get the same battery life. I would get another 6-cell battery if I were you.

The ad says that it has been upgraded to a 6 cell, but that is a totally different shape to the battery that is fitted in a 1012, so it's not going to fit
