hmm looks like there was some controversy on this thread - no offence intended by resurrecting it...

i dont have an sdxc card to try, so before i buy one and find it doesn't work - does anyone have the answer?

probably wont work, but you have a Mini, why not just take it to the store and try it 1st, if it works your good, if it doesn't you are still in the store to return it.....no big deal

Hi thanks for the quick reply.

At the moment I have macos 10.5.8 on the mini.

I was trying to find out if the hardware was capable and then assuming the mini 9 hardware supported it, if an upgrade to 10.6.8 would support it on macos.

If hardware support not there - will leave the mini on 10.5.8.

If hardware support there and also on macos 10.6.8 then will go that way, if not then will probably go to linux to get the OS support.

As far as I know, there is no hardware support on the Mini 9 for SDXC.
