![]() Well Im trying to make a bootable win xp cd to reload the os in my mini.
The steps I did were, format using fat 32(and the dos method too after the first didnt work) I made an iso of the win xp cd, but I guess thats for people who have a bootable mini9 pc right? Mine diesnt boot, i need to reload the os using the thumb drive. Whenver I copy the contents of the winxp cd to the drive, I dont see a boot file at all. so a recap, I made the iso used the virtual drive, then I copied all the files to the scandisk drive. And when I insert into the mini and choose boot from usb, it says replace disk. |

![]() Used the command prompt method to make the USB drive and then vLite'd the 7077 install. Went off without a hitch in about 20 mins. Added the couple of drivers that are listed in the post regarding...
Nice little machine here running Windows 7. Snappy. I'd have to say based on my day or so of running it, Vista kinda sucks a little in comparison. ![]() Now that that is done, next step, dual boot of Windows 7 and OSX. |

![]() I am having the same problem trying to install Ubuntu. I formatted the usb using the HP tool and then I copied the contents of the cd and set it to boot from USB but it comes up with the remove hardware message! Help!
By the way, I only just got my mini 9 and Im using it now to type and I would just like to mention how much I like the keyboard. It takes a little getting useed to but when you do it is nice and crisp with a smooth action and gently curved keys. Fantastic! Anyway, I need help with the booting from USB thing. Any ideas? |
