I posted in the general section to no avail so I thought I'd try some of the OS specific areas to see if there is anything I can do short of returning the SSD. I've been having nothing but bad luck with the Super Talent drive in terms of read/write speed. Any OS I put on it is just dog ass slow. Linux Mint, OSX, Windows 7. All slow. I don't have any hard numbers for Mint, just a feeling of slowness, but both Windows 7 and OSX I tested and never got more than 20MB/s read and my writes were in the single digits. What am I doing wrong here? There are no BIOS settings to change and there doesn't seem to be a firmware update for the SSD on Super Talent's website. I'd have bought a Runcore if anyone had any of them in stock. I can easily install any OS on it rather quickly but as for right now I'm trying to go back to XP to see if that helps.

Oh, and I have 2GB of RAM in it.
