Exclamation Help installing windows after failed apple update! - 11-17-2011, 06:59 AM

I have a Dell inspiron mini 910 which had been running snow leopard up until I updated everything the other night. I've been trying to reboot it back to windows with the repair install disk, but even that won't let me as it says that it is not compatible.

Now when it's stuck in the loop after holding shift there are 2 hard drive pics. One for untitled 1 and the other for windows. Windows says the bootmgr is missing. Also, recovery=y doesn't work anymore..

I'm in need of help quickly, if this makes any sense.

THANK YOU!

It sounds as if you're booting with the Netbook CD Maker CD and not a Windows install CD. The usual problem is that the Windows partition is no longer the active partition. This can usually be fixed by booting a Windows install CD and selecting "repair".

If you need help with Netbook CD Maker, or the chameleon bootloader, please post in the OS X section of the forum.
