Dell 11z Sprint Model Core i3-330um 1.2GHz 2GB 250GB HD

Pros: By the system specs this is a Dell Model 1121. The memory cards are supposed to be the same as the Dell 15R - at least that's what the Dell technician told me. I've upgraded mine and yes the memory boards are the same, DDR3 SDRAM (PC3 10600) is what I bought from Crucial, works fine. I have 6GB now. Beautiful machine - a real eye-catcher! Installed blu_ray this last weekend, PowerDVD 9 Ultra - outstanding results. I used an external LitOn iHS104 drive from Newegg. Avatar plays smooth as silk - so does 2012.
Cons: All of the specs listed on the Sprint site are bad info. Everything I read on the internet said this unit had two card slots - NOT. It has one SD card slot on the left side at the front. It's adequate for my needs though.
Summary: This is one gorgeous machine with the usual 3 usb plus HDMI and VGA one card slot. Large adapter. It plays 1080p, sometimes with just the slightest stutter. Nice faux-stainless palm rest, right and left mouse buttons inst'd on the touchpad. Mine is grand piano black - like two-miles deep.
I've already tested the unit on vimeo to see how it handles streaming HD video. It's totally acceptable. I love this machine. I believe it obsoletes the 11z with the su4100. In fact the system information on this unit shows the i3 as four cores. Actually it's 2-cores hyperthreaded. The memory cards are DDR3 SDRAM 1333MHz; it'll hold 8GB and there are two memory card slots.

There's door on the bottom of unit to access the memory slots. I removed the 2gb card and moved it to the front slot, first filling the bottom slot with the 4gb board I bought from Crucial Memory. I'm still liking this unit. It does whatever I want from it. I have lots of pictures on it now and I alter them with MS Picture It! I have Everest installed so I am fully aware of the system temperatures at all times. That's something the 11z with the Celeron or the SU4100 cannot do - it's not supported. The disc drive with this unit is the Hitachi Travelstar, 250GB @ 5400. It's absolutely silent and it's also reasonably fast.
Last night bought another 4GB memory card to increase to the maximum of 8GB.
