Default Running 10v in clamshell mode with external monitor - 04-14-2010, 05:16 PM

Hey guys...I have a 10v with the latest 10.6.3 updates installed. Whenever I hook up an external monitor up to the 10v and then try to close the 10v lid, to goes into sleep mode.

Any suggestions on how to keep it from going to sleep?

Keep in mind the heat generated and diffused through keyboard could potentially harm your LCD.

I believe there is a Power Optionssetting that controls what 'closing the lid' will do.
look around for it.

I'm not thinking image burn. I'm referring to previous statements made on this subject. I know for sure 10v gets hot. I know that the keyboard casing is a heatsink. I don't know for sure how much damage has occurred, operating closed, but the question remains. It's only info, just info.
