![]() My wife had a mishap this last week by closing the lid of her 10v on top of her earbuds. The result was a broken lcd. So I got to looking on ebay for a replacement lcd. I ended up finding a guy here in the states with replacement screens for $65 shipped. I got the screen in 4 days. What a b*tch it was to take apart the entire system just to change out the lcd. After spending a good portion of the day taking it apart and reassembling. Then to get the surprise of instead of the resolution being 1024x576 as it was before. It is now 1024x600 and looks great.
Here is the auction I bought from if anyone else is intersted... NEW DELL Inspiron Mini 10 10V 10.1" LAPTOP LCD SCREEN - eBay (item 130331588692 end time Jan-14-10 17:54:41 PST) Dell Latitude D630 | 500gb HDD | 8gb RAM | W7 Pro 64bit | nVidia 135M (256mb) Dell Precision T3500 "The Beast" W3570 quadcore 3.20ghz | 12gb 1333mhz ram | nVidia 240GT 1gb | Win 7 Pro 64bit | 12TB storage |

![]() I bought the same replacement off eBay for my son's mini 10v cracked screen. It is a model LP101WSA vs the original LP101WS1. It was a perfect fit, high quailty, LG Phillips brand. The added bonus was the increased resolution to 1024x600! It was a pain to replace, you literally have to remove EVERY component! The whole process took 3 to 4 hours, so be sure to have the service manual handy. I upgraded the RAM to 2GB while I had everything apart (only 1 slot). If you need to replace your mini 10v screen, this is the way to go.
Documentation Thanks MrFaust for the recommendation! SBT Quote:

![]() I have to replace a cracked LCD screen, due to an unfortunate fall. I noticed that ScreenCountry.com supposedly has an HD LCD panel for the 10v.
If you scroll to the last LCD listed on the page, it has the 1366x768 screen. Click the link to view: Link Has anyone tried this site before? Was wondering if I should give it a go, since I have to do a replacement anyway. |

![]() So that´s what they wrote back:
"Giedrius Tamosauskas wrote: Screen for your notebook (Dell mini 10v) is here: http://www.laptopscreen.com/English/model/Dell/INSPIRON~MINI~10V/ Please make sure the resolution on old and replacement screens is the same - we do not support nor recommend resolution upgrades. Cheers!" |
