too many possibilities, a cable may have loosened up, a board may have cracked, the HD may be damaged, the mobo maybe damaged, the memory may have popped out or loosened up

here is a couple of listings of beep codes...maybe it will help ya...

well, the 1012 uses a standard SATA interface drive, if possible you might try to put it into another computer and see if it works or swap hard drives with a working computer..at this point you will need to narrow things down one by one

hmm the mini doesn't proceed to POST without a HD? .. like run a Live USB with any Linux Distribution?

---------- Post added at 08:10 PM ---------- Previous post was at 07:15 PM ----------

I got a little progress..

When i keep the Fn pressed while i press power button for a little time (10 seconds or more) it boots and load the SO!! .. but the key board is not longer detected..

on the BIOS detects my HD and everything..

but if i don't press Fn key on Power still beeping

---------- Post added at 08:23 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:10 PM ----------

update: the keyboard atach is broken.. but i got the keyboard works...

still beeping on Startup if i don't press the fn key for 5-10 seconds

ok well that's something....have you checked the video cables on the Mini?...check both ends..make sure that they are connect securely and not cut anywhere.....if all that checks out then you are looking at either an inverter that has gone bad/shorted out or it is the entire LCD display that is shot....with that error that you are getting "LCD EDID Unable to access to EDID EEPROM" its one or the other....might be a good chance for you to upgrade to an HD 1366x768 display if you dont have one already....

HD 1366x768 Screen link: $93

Standard 1024x600 Screen link: $55

For the $38 price difference I would definitely go for the HD screen..you might also check ebay..but be careful

What does it mean exactly? What does it worth? Is this a Dell specialty or a universal method? Thanks
