my delll 1110 sometimes gets stuck on post at about 60%, i have to restart it several times to make it pass through to about 90%. if i press F2 to enter bios setup and try to access security tab then bios hangs and nothing happens. i have to press power button to turn it off.

before this problem i was using windows 7 but after this problem i could not access windows 7 on my hardrive. i tried to reinstall it but always get an error. i have easily installed ubuntu but cant install windows 7/8 whatsoever.

i have tried every possible method on earth to flash bios but it doesnt work. after it starts flashing at some point an error comes and computer shuts down.

when this problem happened i was able to press F12 and enter in to boot options and select USB to boot from. but now when i press F12 it takes about 10 to 20 seconds to enter into that screen and when it enters i can see all options except USB boot option. and strangely the list starts from no. 2 rather than no. 1.

my personal opinion is that my laptop bios has got a virus as i cant do any thing with it and strangely it corrupting further and further on its own.
