Default Post your Pictures! - 08-25-2009, 02:12 AM

Just a thread where 11z owners can post their pictures of their shiny new toys for all of us to see. Post away!

Sold my Mini 9 for a larger netbook, one that's easier on my wrists and hands.
Current Machine: 2010 MacBook Pro 13", 2.4 GHz C2D, 4GB RAM, Win7 Pro x64/OS X 10.6.3

And I play with my girlfriend's Mini 10v ^_^.

Interested in using MATLAB on the Mini 10v? Check out my benchmarks!

I gotta say I'm spending a lot more time on my 11z than my xps.

Very nice, weedmonk! Is that an XPS 13" or 12"? Looks like a 12" to me. Good comparison.

Yeah its the XPS m1210. It weighs like a tank compared to 11z though.

@Minitwelve
Great pics. Even though it look like a PITA installing its nice to know this lil beast can go up to 4gigs. The celeron is 64bit too I noticed. It's just so dang expensive especially ddr3.

The CPU is mounted on a separate board? This could lead to upgrades down the road.

I doubt it. I can't even think of a single mass-market laptop that has offered an upgrade path for it's processor in the last few years. It's probably to simplify manufacturing -- Dell can upgrade the processor module without upgrading the whole system board during manufacture.

That bodes well for configuring different processor options when building one of these, like if you wanted to go for a Core 2 Solo or something along those lines instead of a Celeron.

(Not knocking the Celeron 723, it's a superb processor when compared with the Atom N270/280/Z-series, but it's nice to have options.)
