Worst case, if Dell doesn't sell the part, you'll just have to send it back for repairs. Again, you can always ebay or google for parts, if available.

Since you already have the OEM license for Win7 Starter, you may be eligible to purchase the HP 32bit upgrade OEM DVD from Dell. It's a cheaper option compared to buying a full retail version of it....

I've upgraded mine to 320GB (7200) HD, 2GB RAM, and Win7 HP 32bit. So far, no complaints. It runs smoothly with very minimal heat.

Just installed WinXP Pro SP3

Didn't like Win7 Starter that came with my Mini 1012. Also upgraded RAM module to 2GB and changed to a larger 320GB 7200RPM drive. The Mini now runs much better. :D
