You can launch ATI, select Restore, follow prompts and reboot as guided. It will then auto-load their recovery OS into RAM before Windows boots and act exactly as if booted from recovery CD. Of course, at that point you will be erasing current OS install and replacing it with drive image from attached external USB hard drive.

Even though USB powered, I always find best performance with optical drives from external power. These can use common 5v power bricks shipped with many devices.
