Correct, once installed you won't need those files & folders again. If you installed the Dell Resource CD software when you first put in the Driver CD, you can go ahead and uninstall it via the Add/Remove Programs as well.

I Delete all ther "other" folders in my C;/ drive apart from Windows, Program Files and Documents and Settings.
There were some windows update folders in the c:/ drive to get rid of too.
