Default Disable compression of C: during install? - 11-06-2008, 12:49 AM

So I noticed that when you use the factory xp install disc that came with nLite it automatically compresses the C drive before windows finishes installing. Is there any way to disable this from happening. I would prefer not to have the C drive compressed.

Oh and I don't use the disc itself, I use nlite and usb drive to install windows.

IT does it on the original restore disc too. maybe just part of windows. Its easily undoable although it can take a while.

Stupid question, but how do you tell if c is compressed? I read that the checkbox is on the general tab of the drive properties, but I don't see it there.

edit: Doh.. I'm an idiot. My drive is formatted fat 32, so no compression available. Never mind.. Nothing to see here. ops:
