I bought a Dell Mini 9 in Japan and she (her name is Mimi) has the Japanese edition of Windows XP Home pre-installed. I'm in the UK now, and I want Mimi to learn English.
Is there a way to hack mutli-lingual support into XP Home? (It's built into XP Professional.) If not, I guess I'll have to reinstall Windows, but where can I get an English language OEM disk? Dell Japan won't send me one ("We only support the version of Windows we installed on your machine.") and Dell UK won't talk to me because I bought Mimi in Japan.
I would be especially grateful if some kind person would send a copy of their Windows CD / DVD to me in Cambridge, England. I will gladly reimburse any reasonable costs.
Many thanks for reading this.
I should clarify: I am not trying to pirate Windows. Mimi already has a ULCPC (Ultra Low Cost PC) license for Windows XP Home. I am merely trying to install the English edition of Windows in place of the Japanese edition which is, as far as I know, well within my rights.
