I reinstalled XP 3 times to fix these nagging issues. The final time I ditched nlite.
I don't know if you followed a guide to strip down windows or just winged it on your own. The guide for netbooks I followed was flat wrong and I ended up with no hyperthreading on my second install. The first install had no remote desktop or ACPI.
When you first start windows off an nlite CD, there's a menu where you choose your CPU type. There are two options, "other", and something else that sounds vaguely more promising. The problem is that there's a bug and you're at the bottom of a list with like 6 items on it. You need to scroll up and choose the long description with ACPI in it. So that's your ACPI issue.
I don't know why your wireless doesn't work. You probably removed a critical module somewhere. I'd pass on nlite if you have an 8+ GB
SSD. I never had any problems.
