I had a virus on my Dell Mini 9 and decided to reformat the thing. I've done this with recovery CD's before with no problem on several computers. Apparently, I did something wrong this time. I was reading the help file on how to reformat (since I've never had a computer without a CD drive) when it went ahead and, it seems to me, reinstalled Windows then asked for a key. The recovery CD's I ordered for this didn't come with one and the key on the sticker under the computer is no longer legible. I called Dell and they said I need to do a reformat and it won't ask for a key. Well, OK, but it won't boot from the external CD drive I am using. I went to the boot options and selected CD/RW drive, USB Storage and Removable Devices and none of them work. I am sent back to the main Windows page every time.

Can anyone help?
