I allowed IE 7 to load itself and then tweaked it, including installing the full-screen button, which worked okay on IE 6, but appeared non-functional in IE 7.

You can guess the rest.

I closed IE 7 and opened it again. When it opened, the frame was completely gone and the only thing that displayed was the HTML from my home page. Since the mini 9 lacks a F11 key, there's no way to turn off full-screen. All I can do is kill IE 7 with the Task Monitor (summoned via the three-fingered-salute).

Anything suggestions simpler than uninstalling IE? I do need it. There are some apps I use that expect it, rather than FF.

Did you move the mouse pointer to the top of the screen? On mine it drops down the menu/taskbar in full screen mode.

if you right click on the IE7 task in the taskbar, is there a "unmaximize" option? You could also select "move" then you can use the keyboard arrow keys to move it. I'm not sure if this works when maximized though.

Turns out, In the control panel, under "Internet Options, under the "Advanced" Tab, there is a "Reset" button that restores IE to its base settings. (Discovered during a "chat" session with a Dell tech in India, which was not a painful experience at all.)

Not exactly your most obvious route to a fix, but at least Microsoft provided it.
