Default running XP from usb external HDD - 07-26-2010, 10:34 PM

My mini 9 has only a 8gb SSD but I want the option to run XP occasionaly (for my MS MONEY software mostly) is there a way to boot and run XP normally of an external drive for these moments? if so what sort of drive would be best? The are fairly cheap EE pc 30gb external HDD on ebay connected via usb and quoting transfer speeds of 450mb/s.

I notice a few threads re back up bootable OSX OS on usb thumb drives, but while I am not looking for mad speed i would like it to work normally and be reliable.

Hope this makes sense

Cheers all
