uhhhhhhhh no.

msocache can and should only be removed for Office 2003. You'll notice the link "leo" article is from 2005.

For Office 2007 forcefully (because that's the only way) deleting MSOCache causes problems as
a. MSO will probably just reinstall it the next time you do an update
b. your computer will think it still should be there, and updates will fail.

and an fyi, so people know what we are talking about, MSOCache is a hidden file located in your C: drive (the root/main directory). MSOCache is known as a "Local Install Source" folder. Office stores a lot of install/uninstall/update files there so that the CD isn't required. It's stupid that it is there and forced, but so far, deleting it is not an option.

I delete it more than one month ago, and everything it's ok. It doesn't reinstall it by itself and I don't plan update it soon.
