Working on a Dell Mini 9 (910) ... spec below:
• Intel Atom N270 (1.6GHz/533Mhz FSB/512K cache)
• Intel Integrated GMA 950
• 512 MB DDR2 (800MHz)
• 4GB Solid State Drive
• Ubuntu 8.04.1
• Glossy 8.9 inch -- 1024X600 -- LED display
• Notebook Keyboard
• No CD/DVD
• 4 Cell Primary Battery
• 30W AC Adapter
• No WAN card Slot
• No Camera
• No WAN card Slot
• Wireless 802.11g Mini Card
The problem:
I'm unable to install WinFLP on the machine. I'm able to boot from the WinFLP disc using an external -- USB -- CDROM drive and start the installation, but it bluescreens at the Windows XP splash screen displayed right after the "Starting Windows Fundamentals for Legacy PCs Setup" progress bar is saturated.
The STOP error is: (0xF789EA98, 0xC0000034, 0x00000000, 0X00000000)
I suspect this is happening because WinFLP setup is unable to write to the
STEC 4GB Mini PCIe SSD that the Mini came with because the drivers are not loaded, thus the bluescreen.
Is there a way to load WinFLP on this machine?
Any ideas or suggestions on what to do to overcome the above problem?
