do know what you might have done wrong, but I have Windows 7 on my mini and its anything but slow, I also have XP on it too, I prefer Win 7 over XP and there is very little IF any difference in speed...too bad you feel that way, if you read other posts on this forum most people prefer Win 7....dont what could have gone wrong with yours..

PS: I also wiped that restore partition and all of the Dell diags clean too, and I have a 500gb drive so it wasnt for space...I just didnt want them....after all thats why they give you the DVDs, just copy them to a USB Flashdrive and reinstall if necessary

Dell Mini 10 (Obsidian Black 1010), 2gb RAM, 1.6ghz 533mhz FSB (Z530) processor,A10 BIOS, 750gb WD Scorpio Blue Hard Drive (5400rpm), Intel GMA 500 Integrated Graphics, TV Tuner, Bluetooth 2.1 module with EDR, 1.3mp Camera, 1366x768 HD Screen, Wireless 1510 b/g/n mini card, 6 cell (56WHr) Battery..every option except GPS (wasnt out yet), 4gb SDHC, 8gb Flashdrive, Targus Netbook Chillpad, Targus Sport Case, Windows XP Pro SP3 (98gb)/Windows 7 Ultimate (600gb) (Dual Boot)

Well that didnt contribute anything to my question at all.

The speed and resource difference is huge, with aero enabled and typical browsing, it uses 70% cpu, and it idles at 20%; where it compared to xp's 2% idle, 40% youtube, and 70% 720p mkv. And im pretty sure there wasnt any faults with my install, since i got my copy with msdnaa.
