Default XP USB install using new MS Win7 tool? - 10-25-2009, 10:33 AM

Well I must admit the release of this new easy to use tool raised my hopes quite a bit, but I should have known better!

I downloaded and installed it, fired it up, plugged in an empty usb stick and pointed it at a nice small nlited XP ISO. No such luck!

Told me that it was an unrecognised iso......

So was it just looking at the name do you think? In which case renaming it as tho it were a Win7 iso might just work; or was it looking for something within the iso? Maybe a hash sum check?

Next step if someone would be so kind as to tell me the correct file name will be try again - I guess if it is indeed a clever little tool and looks within the file then this way of building a bootable XP install USB stick is a non-starter

In the spirit of investigation! Cheers all
