Default Backup Program? - 12-03-2008, 03:58 AM

I'm wondering if anyone knows any good (would be great if it's free) that can
backup My Documents from my MINI onto a USB Flash Drive?

Not what you requested, but dell datasafe has a free 2gb account that will sync folders you want to automatically online. Then you can access it anywhere. Also, search here for gmail drive for an option to use gmail to save files, though not automatic.

I've heard syncback works well, as well as a few others that I'm sure someone will suggest that I can't seem to think of.

There is a backup program already available in XP. XP Home doesn't install it by default, but it was on the XP CD which Dell sent with my mini. This article explains where to find it: ... ly14.mspx/

I think it will back up to any drive, I used to use it with an USB hard drive once upon a time.
