Hi the forum, I'm looking to buy a Mini 10V in the near future, and I'm primarily interested in the Ubuntu version. That said, due to a discount offer through my university, the price for this machine with XP is exactly the same as the price for Ubuntu. If I did get the XP version, I'd like to use the XP license for a different machine. Has anyone tried the included XP cd on a markedly different machine? Like a non-dell desktop, for instance? Did it work all right? |

Won't work. Dell's OS reinstall CDs and DVDs for Windows require a Dell BIOS. |
