There's a nice little guide here for making a bootable XP flash drive installer. This guide was made for EEE PC's but it works just fine on the Mini. I don't know if this is what you're looking for, but it can't hurt.

use USBPrep8 and follow the instructions on this site to create a USB bootable xp install from you nlited image
