Default keyboard/touchpad weirdness? - 06-09-2009, 04:02 AM

hey all,
i'm on my mini9 right now with win7 installed..with that said, has anyone had any strange issues with the typing cursor jumping around occasionally? i'd be happily typing away and all of a sudden, my cursor's down halfway through my document and i'm typing in the middle of a different paragraph. i dont think my hands are touching the touchpad (it's happening on both my mini9 and 1330). does this sound like a driver issue? i'm guessing it's gotta be some software issue related to windows7 since i never had this prob on my 1330 until i installed win7 on that. any ideas?

I have had the same thing happen running XP, Ubuntu, and Win7 on my Mini9. The cursor always jumps to the same line as the mouse arrow, so I'm pretty sure I'm hitting the touchpad somehow and doing a click. It is rather annoying, and trying to type with my hands hovering over the keyboard hasn't helped.

I just finished installing Win7 on a Dell mini 9 & the 1st thing I noticed was how much more horrible the trackpad was.

Maybe there's a driver that can fix this.

Sorry to do another "me too" but uh...me too.

Wondered what was up with the trackpad and the synaptics drivers cleared it all up.

Does anyone know if it's possible to disable the ugly icons that come up when scrolling?

Default same problem in OSX - 11-25-2010, 05:19 PM

I have the same, identical problem with the "jumping cursor" when typing over a certain speed, although my Mini 9 runs (for all other aspects, very well) neither on Windows or Ubuntu, but on Os X 10.5.6 installed through the DellEFI method. Is there a version of the Synaptics driver (or equivalent) that I can use as a fix? How to replace the existent driver?
