Default Speaking of leaks... - 05-03-2009, 05:08 AM

... the Virtual PC environment and Windows XP mode components for Windows 7 got leaked today.

Edit: Just finished installing it. Two files: one is the Virtual PC components, the other is the Windows XP virtual machine installer.

Once up and running, the XP virtual machine runs just like it did under Virtual PC on Vista or XP ran virtual machines, with one difference: applications installed on the virtual machine get "published" to the host system's Start menu, allowing you to launch the apps without having the virtual machine running in the background. I installed Office 2003 inside the VM and now I can launch Office 2003 apps and they appear running as native Win7 windows.

Also, when a virtual machine is running full screen, it uses the familiar remote desktop toolbar at the top for local control of the VM and window.
