Default windows 7 mini 9 running too hot. - 01-29-2009, 07:11 PM

I have a mini9 with 2GB ran, stock 16 GB SSD.
When we installed windows 7, I noticed it gets very hot. I was getting 69 degrees C just browsing with the power supply on.

Is this a hardware issue? Or windows 7 is that hot?

Windows 7, by default, works your hardware harder, and therefore hotter. You can back it off, to XP levels, by changing settings, like removing Aero features. Also, check your CPU usage at idle. Some people have had install problems that pegged their CPU's.
